Karen Hedman

Although originally from Saskatchewan, Karen largely grew up in Maple Ridge.  She went on to attend Simon Fraser University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in 1991.  Karen then moved to Vancouver to attend law school at the University of British Columbia and obtained her Bachelor of Laws in 1994.

Wishing to return to a semi-rural community, Karen moved to Abbotsford in 1994 and obtained articles at a local law firm.  She was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1995.  Karen has enjoyed practicing family law in the Fraser Valley since that time.  Karen joined Rory Krentz as an associate in 1997 and later formed a partnership with him in 2005.

As a litigator, Karen has experience in all levels of court in British Columbia.  Her passion and knowledge in the area of child welfare law has led to Karen being called upon as a guest lecturer and sessional instructor at the University of the Fraser Valley where she taught for approximately 20 years.

Karen continues to live in Abbotsford.  The majority of Karen’s personal time is devoted to spending time with family. Karen also enjoys travelling and collecting Disney memorabilia.

Kerin Seikhon

Kerin obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of the Fraser Valley and her Juris Doctor degree from the University of British Columbia. She completed her articles with Krentz & Hedman and joined the firm as an Associate upon her call to the Bar in 2012.

Kerin practices exclusively in the areas of family law and child protection. She has appeared in the Provincial Court of British Columbia and Supreme Court of British Columbia to conduct hearings, trials, case conferences and settlement conferences. Kerin also has extensive experience in the settlement of family law matters outside of court, including representing clients in alternative dispute resolution and drafting Marriage, Cohabitation and Separation Agreements.

Kerin was born and raised in Abbotsford and is glad to be working in her hometown. Kerin is fluent in the Punjabi language. In her spare time, Kerin enjoys reading, movies, travelling and spending time with family and friends.

Gagandeep Dhillon

Gagan holds a dual-qualifying Bachelor of Laws degree in Scots and English law from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, and a Diploma in Arts with a focus on Political Science and Women’s Studies.

During her academic career, Gagan developed a foundation in client service through her work with the University’s Mediation Clinic, where she contributed to alternative dispute resolution initiatives in both campus and court settings. She also worked with NHS 24 as a Service Support Coordinator, supporting the Data Protection team in the management of sensitive health records and call data.

After graduating, Gagan began her career at Colliers as a Deal Administrator, where she managed complex, multi-jurisdictional real estate conveyancing transactions spanning eight cities across three provinces. She later joined Miller Thomson LLP as a Legal Assistant in the firm’s Real Estate Group, contributing to a wide range of commercial real estate matters. Concurrently, she completed her accreditation through the National Committee on Accreditation in 2022.

Born and raised in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Gagan has returned to her community to practice law. She is fluent in Punjabi and is committed to delivering responsive, efficient, and culturally informed legal services to a diverse client base.

Outside of her practice, Gagan remains actively engaged in her community through volunteer work with The Reach Gallery. She also maintains an interest in travel, reading and pursuing creative projects.

Parm Dhillon

Parm obtained her Bachelor of Law with an honors distinction in 2021 from the University of  Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland.

Following her graduation, she worked as a Business Services Coordinator at Colliers International, where she honed her client management skills before joining Farris LLP as a Corporate Services Clerk. During her time at Farris LLP, she gained practical experience in corporate law while successfully completing the National Committee on Accreditation in 2023. Parm was born and raised in Abbotsford, British Columbia and is excited to advance her legal career in her local community.

Fluent in Punjabi, Parm is committed to bringing an inclusive approach to her legal practice, ensuring effective communication and understanding for a diverse range of clients.

Outside of her professional career, Parm is a part time spin instructor and plays on a women’s soccer team. When she’s not in the office, in a spin room, or on the field, you can find Parm globe-trotting and soaking in new cultures, always looking for her next adventure.

Christine Hamilton

Chris is a member of the British Columbia Paralegal Association and has over 30 years legal experience, over 20 of which are in the area of family law. Chris has been working with Krentz & Hedman since 2008.

Chris provides litigation support, including drafting pleadings and correspondence, communicating with clients and counsel, compiling and organizing documents and meeting with clients to prepare Affidavits and Financial Statements. In addition to her Paralegal duties, Chris is also the Office Manager and Bookkeeper for the firm and is a Commissioner for taking Affidavits for British Columbia. Chris is dedicated to providing professional and knowledgeable service to our clients.

Jennifer Cripps

Jenn has worked with Karen Hedman since 2003 and joined Krentz and Hedman in 2005. Jenn obtained her paralegal certificate from Vancouver Community College in 2009 and is working towards obtaining her paralegal diploma.   Jenn assists Ms. Hedman with all family law and CFCSA matters, including the drafting of Supreme and Provincial Court pleadings, family law agreements, correspondence and meeting with clients.

Jenn grew up in Mission, B.C. and continues to reside there with her husband and children.  She enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as reading, travelling and camping.

Brikenda Konjuhi

Brikenda is a Legal Assistant who joined Krentz and Hedman in 2023. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology along with a Certificate in Legal Studies from Simon Fraser University in 2023.

At the firm, Brikenda provides support in family law and CFCSA matters, assisting with the preparation of Supreme and Provincial Court pleadings, as well as client correspondence. She is currently pursuing her Paralegal Certificate at Capilano University to further expand her skills and expertise.

Outside of work, Brikenda enjoys travel and adventure, whether it’s discovering hidden gems in Europe, relaxing on tropical beaches, or experiencing new cuisines abroad. When she’s not planning her next trip, Brikenda enjoys spending time with friends and family, staying active, and seeking out new thrill-seeking activities such as bungee jumping, river rafting, and other outdoor adventures.

Brad Quendack

Brad has worked with Krentz & Hedman for several years while completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Law Enforcement Studies at JIBC.  He provides administrative support to our legal assistants and paralegals.  In his spare time, Brad enjoys working on his car, participating in various sports, travelling, spending time with friends and family, and collecting hockey memorabilia.
